About
A focused tool, built out of necessity.
We missed a certificate renewal once. We didn't want it to happen again — so we built the tool we wished had existed.
Monitor SSL Certificates started because we missed a renewal once. A Let's Encrypt cron job stopped silently, a customer reported the issue before our monitoring caught it, and a perfectly good Sunday afternoon was lost to debugging. We looked around at the existing tools and didn't love any of them — they were either too expensive, too cluttered, or trapped behind a sign-up wall.
What we built
So we built our own. The brief was simple: monitor every SSL/TLS certificate we own, alert us early enough to act, and stay out of the way the rest of the time. No agent to install, no upsells on the free tier, no dark patterns. Just a fast, modern interface that tells you when something is going to break.
Where we are today
Today we monitor thousands of certificates across hundreds of organisations. We're a small, independent team obsessed with operational reliability and a clean user experience. We use the product ourselves every day, and we ship improvements weekly.
Our principles
Honest pricing
The free plan is genuinely free. We tell you what your plan limit is before you hit it.
Modern defaults
SSO, magic-link sign-in, mobile-first UI. Nothing from 2014.
No lock-in
Export your hostnames as CSV any time. Cancel any time.
Privacy by design
We don't sell data. We don't log free lookups.
